With a fixed view, results become identity statements. A green week means you have it; a red week means you never did. Since results are mostly noise in the short run, this turns normal variance into a verdict delivered several times a month.
The behaviours that follow are all avoidant: skipping journals, hiding losses from an accountability partner, switching methods rather than examining execution, and quietly not looking at the account after a bad day.
The exit is to move the scoring to behaviour. Grade the execution, not the outcome, and a losing day stops being a statement about your worth and becomes a set of checkboxes. See identity-and-trading.
