Permabull

Someone who is bullish in all conditions, so their view carries no information about the current market.

A permabull is right during advances, which in equity indices is most of the time, and that record gets presented as skill. The issue is not the direction but the invariance: a view that never changes cannot be evidence about anything.

The test to apply to any commentator, including yourself, is whether they have ever publicly changed their mind and what it took. A view with no falsification condition is an identity. See permabear and belief-perseverance.
