Resulting is the everyday name for outcome-bias. In poker, a player who calls with terrible odds and hits their card is said to have got there, not to have played well. The same language transfers directly to markets.
Trading rooms use it as a correction: someone posts a huge win from a rule-breaking trade, and the reply is one word, resulting. It is a quick way to stop a group from learning the wrong lesson from a screenshot.
Using the word is a habit worth stealing. Saying it out loud after your own lucky win keeps the win from silently editing your rules.
