- 0DTE (zero days to expiration)
- Options expiring the same day they are traded, offering extreme leverage and extreme decay.
- 12b-1 fee
- An annual charge inside a US mutual fund, named after the SEC rule that permits it, used to pay for distribution, marketing and ongoing service to shareholders.
- 2s10s
- The 10-year Treasury yield minus the 2-year yield, the most quoted single measure of yield curve slope.
- 32nds pricing
- The convention of quoting US Treasury prices in points and thirty-seconds of a point, with further subdivision into halves, quarters or eighths of a 32nd.
- 3m10s
- The 10-year Treasury yield minus the 3-month bill yield, the curve spread with the strongest historical recession-forecasting record.
- 51% attack
- Controlling most of a chain's mining or staking power, enough to reorder or exclude transactions and reverse recent ones for a double spend.
- 60/40 portfolio
- A classic mix of 60% equities and 40% bonds, used as shorthand for a moderate-risk balanced allocation and as a benchmark for multi-asset funds.
- 60/40 tax treatment
- US Section 1256 contracts are marked to market at year end and the resulting gain or loss is treated as 60% long term and 40% short term regardless of holding period.
